Shrapnel

Shrapnel, David Rakowski's free blast-mark display font, turns the alphabet into a set of battered caps with blown-out chunks and comic-book impact bursts. The letters feel loud and abrupt, with heavy black shapes torn open by jagged gaps, as if each one has taken a hit mid-scene.

It fits posters, game logos, horror flyers, zine covers, title cards, and short headline treatments where the fractured silhouettes can do the talking. As a free font, Shrapnel makes most sense when you want a quick hit of destruction and motion, especially for brief words, monograms, or cover lines that can carry its explosive rhythm.
